Covering sports for Alison isn't just a job: it's a passion. As a former collegiate athlete, Alison understands what it takes to be an athlete, and that drive and dedication reflects on the way she does her job. From covering collegiate National Champions, to High School State Champions, to the littlest of athletes winning baseball World Series, Alison demonstrates the same attention to any athlete- big or small.
Currently, Alison is a sports reporter and weekend anchor for WMBB-TV in Panama City, Florida. She covers various youth sports, high school athletics, Junior College and Division I sports in the Panhandle. Alison follows two of the most successful Junior Colleges in the country in Gulf Coast and Chipola, as well as successful high school programs- such as the Chipley Tigers, who captured a Class 1A State Runner-Up finish in football, and just months later, a Class 1A State Championship in basketball in the 2011-2012 school year.
Alison created a franchise highlighting the accomplishments of high school student-athletes titled "Scholar Athlete of the Week," which aims to recognize senior athletes who understand the importance of excelling both on, and off, the field.
In the Summer of 2012, Alison was given the opportunity to work with Our Team Sports, a company that produces "Prep Zone," a weekly High School sports show that airs on Sun Sports. There, she produces 3-4 minute features on the achievements of athletes in the Panhandle of Florida. Many of the athletes featured are from small rural communities, but all have stories to tell, and Alison enjoys shedding light on their stories in the over six million homes that Sun Sports airs in.
